Optimization of very large shopping centre project, for Westfield and Barrett’s. The brief was  to  review  the  project from  new,  as  a  blank  canvas, re-design.  

To optimise & increase apartment numbers.  Project  consisted  of  4  storey shopping centre,  plus  3 storeys  of  residential  flats  on  the  top,  which totaling 170  apartments.    

Optimisation  of  Westfield  site  plans,  improving  the  internal layouts  of residential  units, travel distances,  fire  escapes.   

Extending  more  shopping  floor  area  and  residential  units  over a  bus  garage. Creating schedule of accommodations and area.    

Freehand sketches, consultation with fire officer and Westfield offices representatives.
