Frimley Park Hospital

Shortage  of  land  forced  hospital  trust  to  build  into light  well  courtyards  with complex operating unit with  advanced  equipment,  for  severely  wounded soldiers  from  Afghanistan. 

Adopting  modern  building  materials  into  existing  very  old  hospital  was  not easy  task.  At  the time when  I  visited  the  hospital  and  inspection  is carried we  discovered  that  the  roof  cover was  so  old, brittle  and  fragile  that  it  was  cracking  under  my  feet.  This  made  me  feel  bad  and sorry  for  soldiers and  other  patients.
